Second visit to Alpine Primary School in Beacon Valley, Mitchells Plain

READ to RISE volunteer readers, Kevin, Jenny, Roscoe and Taryn, visited the Grade 2 learners at Alpine Primary School in Beacon Valley on 4 February 2015 to read with their 166 learners. This is READ to RISE's second Grade 2 visit to the school. Last year we visited the school in August for International Youth Day. It was great to see that the teachers are still using the Mini-Libraries which we gave to the last year, in memory of Gaspar da Silva-Cardoso. Kevin and Jenny did a fantastic job reading the story of OAKY AND THE SUN as well as teaching the learners the READ to RISE song.
