On Wednesday 29 October 2014, the READ to RISE team visited Khanya Primary School in Portlands, Mitchells Plain to read with 250 Grade 2 learners at five classes.

Thank you to the READ to RISE team - Roscoe and Taryn - as well as Volunteer Reader Zweli who was great with the children and read UM-OKI NELANGA so well in Xhosa.

 

Thank you to Athol Williams for sponsoring the 250 UM-OKI NELANGA books for each Grade 2 learner.

 

The learners were so happy to get their very own copy to take home and were so grateful to see the Mini-Libraries that Direct Axis sponsored. There were many smiles!
