READ to RISE volunteer readers, from Taurus School Solutions - Mike, Nicholas, Roscoe and Kevin - visited the Grade 2 learners at Northwood Primary School in Woodlands, Mitchells Plain, on Tuesday 19 August 2014. There were four Grade 2 classes and our Readers read to 170 learners and gave each child a copy of OAKY AND THE SUN to take home. Also, a Mini-Library was handed over to each of the four Grade 2 classes. The teachers and children were excited to get these books. The books and Mini-Libraries were sponsored in memory of the late Gaspar da Silva Cardoso who loved reading and education.
