On Thursday 27 November 2014, the READ to RISE team visited Seaview Primary School in Rocklands in Mitchells Plain to read to the Grade 2 learners. Thank you to Roscoe and Aaron for reading. The children were excited to get their very own copy of OAKY AND THE SUN to take home. Thank you to Nooitgedacht Pers, Sappi, Shumani Mills and Alpha Graphics for sponsoring the books.

 

It was also our honour, to attend the Annual Awards Ceremony for learner at the Intervention Reading Pragram and Bookclub. The library was created and is run by Gajida Sydow Noordien. Keep up the wonderful work that you are doing Gadija!

 

READ to RISE was happy to contribute 170 OAKY AND THE SUN books, as well as 170 bookmarks from Old Mutual.
