On Wednesday 22 October 2014, the READ to RISE team visited Wavecrest Primary School in Rocklands in Mitchells Plain to read with 90 Grade 2 learners at three classes. Four representatives from Direct Axis joined the class sessions - Rochelle, Mark, Tracey and Kim - to hand over the three Mini- Libraries sponsored by Direct Axis. Thank you to our dear volunteers, Tania, Linda, Mavis, Nicholas, Sheri, Letitia, Carol, Gabbi, Roscoe and Taryn who have covered the books in plastic in the Mini-Library.

 

The learners were so happy to get their very own copy to take home and were so grateful to see the Mini-Libraries that Direct Axis sponsored. There were many smiles!

 

Taryn and Rochelle got many hugs from the children during the break :) so wonderful to know that the children appreciate the visit to their class.
