School Visits in 2015
In 2015, READ to RISE visited all 45 Primary Schools in Mitchells Plain and Perivale Primary School in Lotus River. We also visited Belthorn Primary School and Sunnyside Primary School in Lansdowne with Islamia College.
In 2015, READ to RISE began operations in Soweto, we visited Ikemeleng Primary, Mara Primary, Karabo Primary, Tshebedisanong Primary, Khauhelo Primary, Zibambele Primary, Thaba-Tshehlo Primary, Siyvuma Primary, Emathafeni Primary, Philena Middle School and Thulani Primary Schools. As well as Nokuphila School in Midrand, Parkdale Primary School in Eldorado Park, Parkhurst Primary School in JHB and Olievenhoutbosch Primary School in Centurion.
In 2015, READ to RISE visited 244 classes and gave out new OAKY AND THE SUN books to over 15,909 learners as well placed 93 Mini-Libraries in classes - totalling over 20,287 new books!
